Eternally Strengthened

Eternally Strengthened

Lately, it seems God has chosen to wake me in the night and speak to my heart.  His latest word to me was simply the word ‘strength’.  I had not been feeling physically weak, rather more relaxed and at peace.  Yet, the word felt very personal to me.  “As your days, so shall your strength be.” Deuteronomy. 33:25

I love the book of Deuteronomy.  It is a beautiful story of how God cares for His people.

May the bolts of your gates be iron and bronze,
and may you have the strength you need for every day.

There is no god like the God of Jeshurun—
the God of the upright ones of Israel—
Who comes across the sky to rescue you,
riding on the clouds in His Majesty.

The Eternal God is your shelter;
He holds you up in His everlasting arms.
He chased away your enemies ahead of you,
shouting to you, “Destroy them!”
Now Israel lives in safety;
Jacob’s spring is isolated
In a land of grain and new wine
where dew falls from the sky.
How happy you are, Israel! Who is like you?
You’re the people the Eternal has saved.
He’s the Shield that protects you
and the Sword that brings you pride.
Your enemies will cringe and surrender before you,
and you’ll stamp out their high places of worship into the ground.

Deuteronomy 33:25-29 The Voice

As I glanced through other passages in Deuteronomy, I felt strengthened by His eternal care.  I love verse 12, “The Eternal’s beloved rests safely next to Him, protected all through the day, resting between His shoulders.”  What a picture for us!  See yourself draped over His shoulders; Safe, Loved, Cared for, Carried. He is with us all day long. We are strengthened by His eternal care.

I feel that the Lord wants us to see His eternal care as BIG as He sees it.  He is the eternal God.  He fulfills His eternal purposes.  Not one falls to the ground unfulfilled.

I encourage you to hold your head up high and to walk each day as the victor He makes you to be.  Because the eternal God lives within us, we live eternally victorious.

    Thank you for speaking the Word. I, too, get woken in the middle of the night when all is quiet and I have time just for me with Jesus! Thank you for your words of encouragement!
